Greetings, Darklings! I've decided to kick-start my first film analysis with one of my favourite classic crime films of all-time, Goodfellas. There's nothing I love more than an intriguing crime show or movie, for that matter. However, when Martin Scorsese is brought into the equation - nine times out of ten - I'm highly impressed with the way he, as a director, caters for a more complex genre. I’d regard this masterpiece as being one of Scorsese’s finest pieces of work, as controversial as it might be. However, my reasoning as to why I think this will become clear further on in the analysis. 

Fashion: Season of the Witch

Greetings, Darklings! As you've probably guessed by now, my wardrobe is an eternal pit of black, black and more black - mix that with my pale complexion, dark hair and I may as well be a creature of the night."Does this black match?" has become a light-hearted joke within my daily routine of getting dressed every morning. I adore the weather leading up the the festive season. Funnily enough, I become a more content person. Pumpkin spice lattes and cosy clothes are a winner in my books. Add Keaton Henson's 'Birthdays' album and alluring architecture into the equation and I'm ready to set off for the day.

Greetings, Darklings! Today, I woke up feeling inspired thus I've spent a large portion of the day attempting to put my thoughts into words. Is it just me whom finds this difficult? An idea will pop into my head and by the time I've written it down, it's evolved into a jumbled mess that doesn't seem as appealing as it did earlier. It's frustrating because I love writing, I love fancy literacy and I love sophisticated words that are more alluring than the definition itself. I'm starting to wonder whether it's because I've not been reading as much lately. 

Review: New Rock 591 Boots

Greetings, Darklings! Today I will be doing a review on the New Rock 591 boots which I bought near enough two years ago. A friend suggested the brand 'New Rock' to me when my very dearly beloved platforms had seen better days. At first, I was a little hesitant over whether I should repurchase another pair of Demonias but when I came across a specific style of New Rocks, I fell in love - quite literally. 

My Vinyl Collection: Part 2 of 2

Greetings, Darklings! This is part two of my collection. I'd probably have to class it as being my favourite section due to the fact that it features my favourite band: The Smiths. No words are significant enough to describe how I feel about them. I guess they could be considered as having the same effects as an illusion - one in which you ponder whether what you're feeling is real or merely a fragment of your imagination. The instrumentals and melancholic vocals incorporated together act as a ghost in the fog, almost - in the most perpetually beauteous way possible.

Greetings, Darklings! Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Marianne and I'm an eighteen year old, second year Media and Communications student studying in Glasgow. This means I study Journalism, Video Production, Public Relations, Music Industry Promotions, Web Design, Law and various other subjects that fall within the Creative Industries sector.
